Wholesale2b Overview

Wholesale2b is a drop shipping company that promises to be a “one stop shop for all your wholesale drop ship needs.” They offer inventory and order automation, as well as store design and hosting services. And for the most part, they deliver.

In this review, we put Wholesale2b’s claims to the test. Read on to find out more.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of Wholesale2b?

Pros

  • Free to Browse Catalog: You can sign up and review Wholesale2b’s products and catalog without providing your credit card details.
  • Push Products to Most Stores: Wholesale2b’s selling tools let you publish products to any eCommerce platform with just a few clicks.
  • Flexible Plans: Plenty of Wholesale2b plan options let you choose the right one for your business.

Cons

  • Small Product Catalog: The Wholesale2b catalog pales in comparison to other drop shipping services.
  • Lackluster Customer Support: Wholesale2b offers no email and phone support and an unreliable live chat feature.

How much is Wholesale2b? What services does it provide?

The Wholesale2b pricing model works differently than others. The basic plan is free and lets you browse the entire Wholesale2b catalog and review product prices. You can sign up without providing your credit card information.

However, you can’t sell any of the Wholesale2b products with the basic plan. You’ll have to purchase any of their plans to start selling. Each plan is specific to one eCommerce platform, with  corresponding pricing and features.

eBay Plan

The Wholesale2b eBay plan costs $24.99 per month and lets you list your products on eBay. You can create an unlimited number of auctions where you can set your own prices. There are 240 templates to choose from.

Amazon Plan

Wholesale2b’s Amazon plan costs $37.99 per month and lets you use import thousands of products to Amazon, thanks to a handy bulk import tool. Inventory updates are fully automated. You can also process orders with one click. Product tracking codes are automatically uploaded to your dashboard for easy viewing.

You can list a maximum of 10000 products by default, but you can pay more to bump up this limit.

Dropship Website Plan

Wholesale2b can also create and host your own online store. For $39.99 per month, you get your own custom domain, email address, and shopping cart. You also get access to the server backend where you can customize your store. Automated inventory updates are also available.

However, you’re limited to a maximum of 3 suppliers by default. You can pay to upgrade this.

Dropship Datafeed

The Wholesale2b Dropship Datafeed costs $24.99 per month and lets you push suppliers’ product lists (with corresponding images and descriptions) to other platforms like WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Shopify, and more.

Wholesale2b has a standard feed that compiles products from all their suppliers into one easily downloadable CSV or TAB file. You can also create 3 custom feeds for specific needs.

Additional custom feeds will cost $8.99 per month each.

4-in-1 Plan available

You can also subscribe to all four of the previously mentioned plans for $82.99 per month. Those are huge savings and you should consider it if you sell on multiple platforms.

Wholesale2b services

Dropship Apps

Aside from Wholesale2b’s plans, they also offer dropship apps that work specifically with the largest eCommerce platforms. These apps automate product imports to your store and provide real time inventory updates. You can also process orders with one click and provide your own custom product titles and descriptions. Tracking codes are automatically sent to your store.

All apps cost $29.99 per month and have a limit of 10,000 products, but this can be upgraded by paying additional fees.

Wholesale2b’s Dropship Apps work with the following:

  • Shopify
  • BigCommerce
  • Ecwid
  • WooCommerce

For all plans and apps mentioned so far (excluding the Shopify app), you can also pay for a year of service upfront to get a generous 40% discount.

DIY Plan

If none of the plans interest you, you can opt for the Wholesale2b DIY plan which costs $67.00 per year. This lets you resell their products to any platform you want.

You can still use your Wholesale2b account to fulfill orders. The only difference is that you won’t have access to their selling tools, so you’ll have to manually upload your products – and corresponding images and descriptions – to your store.

Dropship Analytics

Along with the Wholesale2b product catalog and selling tools, you also get useful metrics that can help you turn a profit.

Wholesale2b helps you find successful products by giving you up-to-date information on market trends and top-selling products. Buyer hotspot location maps also show you where most buyers are from so you can target your ads to the right people.

Supplier performance reports let you make informed decisions whenever you choose to work with a new supplier. By looking at supplier track records and fulfillment and cancellation ratios, you can avoid potentially unreliable suppliers.

What products can I sell with Wholesale2b?

Product Catalog

The Wholesale2b supplier directory lets you access over 1.5 million products from 90+ suppliers. It’s a modestly sized selection compared to other drop shipping companies. But there are dozens of categories in their catalog – fom apparel and electronics to collectibles, medical supplies and even groceries!

Wholesale2b products

You can search for products by category and list them according to expected profit. You can also narrow it down to the most popular products or items with a MAP (minimum advertised price).

Supplier Information

Remember to check the Supplier Rating Report to get an idea of each supplier’s performance. Online reports indicate that some suppliers have poor cancellation ratios or may even require a monthly or yearly membership to resell their products.

How do I sell products with Wholesale2b?

Order Placement and Fulfillment

When a customer buys a product from your store, you have two options:

  • You work directly with the supplier. First, you’ll need an approved reseller account with the supplier – which means having a valid business license. You’ll also be responsible for tracking shipments, updating order status, and handling returns and cancellations for your orders. You also won’t know the shipping cost until after the order is placed. But you get 100% of the profit. – OR –
  • Wholesale2b handles it for you. They will charge you a 3% handling fee. This cuts from your margins, but you get some nifty benefits. Most notably, you won’t need a business license. And you won’t have to worry about the other things involved in working directly with suppliers. You’ll also see shipping costs right away.

Depending on your plan, you can place orders with one click or have to complete it manually.

Delivery and Tracking

Product tracking codes are automatically retrieved for you via the Amazon plan or any of the four supported Wholesale2b apps. If the order was placed on a different platform, you’ll have to ask the supplier for the codes.

Returns and Refunds

If you opted to have Wholesale2b handle order fulfillment for you, then you’ll be happy to know that they’ll also process returns. Just be sure to contact them when the situation arises.

On the other hand, if you opted to fulfill the order yourself, you’ll have to get in touch with the supplier directly and file a request. Remember to check out a supplier’s policies beforehand, so you’re better-equipped to tackle these problems.

How do I contact Wholesale2b?

Customer Support

If you need direct support, you can submit a ticket or use the live chat option to get a response within 24 hours. However, our experience shows that waiting times can be much longer.

Oddly enough, phone and email details aren’t provided, so those channels aren’t an option.

Self-Help Sections

The Wholesale2b Knowledge Base contains a wealth of information for all your drop shipping needs. A meaty FAQ section and plenty of drop shipping articles will guide you through the basics and answer common questions.

Wholesale2b’s official blog also offers marketing strategies and tips for improving your store’s SEO.

Conclusion

Wholesale2b offers competitive prices and plenty of customizable plans. They also have handy selling tools to streamline product uploads and order fulfillment.

However, those features are locked behind paywalls and subscription fees (ie. the 3% processing fee). You’ll also get a limited product catalog and lackluster customer support.

The bottom line: While Wholesale2b provides plenty of flexibility and automation, some of its competitors do a better job. If you’re looking for a drop shipping company to partner with, you might want to check out the alternatives we’ve reviewed.
